Danielle Levitine, MS BC-DMT LCAT CED-CAT
Danielle Levitine is a Licensed Creative Arts Therapist and Board Certified Dance/Movement Therapist with over 10 years of experience working in the mental health field. Danielle received her undergraduate education in dance and psychology at the University of Maryland and went on to earn a Masters Degree in Creative Arts Therapies from Pratt Institute in New York where she specialized in Dance/Movement Therapy. She has worked with adults, adolescents, children and families, gaining comprehensive experience working specifically in the eating disorder field. The bulk of Danielle's training has been in the inpatient, residential, PHP, and IOP levels of eating disorder care at nationally recognized treatment programs including Reasons Eating Disorder Center and Destinations to Recovery in California where she was primary therapist, family therapist, and intake coordinator. Her experience with children includes work as an Infant Development Specialist at First Steps Developmental Services in Los Angeles. Danielle is passionate about assisting clients, families, and providers to find appropriate treatment options that support holistic, in-depth, mindful, psychotherapeutic work. She specializes in providing psycho-education about the medical and psychological risks of struggling with an eating disorder and continuously encourages clients and loved ones to challenge barriers that often interfere with getting the help and support needed to recover. Danielle truly enjoys helping clients take their first step towards making a change as the Admissions Director at BALANCE eating disorder treatment center.
